SerenityNow, Inc.

Privacy Policy

Effective date: September 8, 2026Last updated: September 25, 2026

1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how SerenityNow, Inc. ("SerenityNow," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information when you use the SerenityNow platform and related services (the "Service"). This Policy is incorporated into and forms part of our Terms of Service. By using the Service, you agree to the practices described in this Policy.

2. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of information:

  • Account information that you provide to set up and access the Service, such as your name and email address.
  • Matter information that you provide during mediation in order to reach an agreement. Depending on your matter, this may include details about your family, your finances, your property, and your children. You choose what to share in order to complete your matter.
  • Payment information, which is handled by our third party payment processor, Stripe. SerenityNow does not store full payment card numbers; these are handled by the processor.

Information collected automatically when you use the Service, such as device information, log data, and general usage information. We use cookies and similar technologies for this, including the following tools:

  • Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google, which helps us understand site traffic, where visitors come from, and how pages are used. Google Analytics runs on public marketing pages only. It does not run on your private mediation channel or case pages.
  • PostHog, a product analytics platform, which helps us understand how people use the Service itself: which features are used, how users move through the platform, and where they encounter problems, so we can improve the Service. PostHog may collect device information, usage events, and interaction data.
  • The Reddit Pixel, an advertising measurement tool provided by Reddit, Inc., which helps us measure whether our advertising on Reddit is effective by recognizing when a visitor arrives from a Reddit ad.

These tools do not receive the contents of your mediation sessions, your matter information, or your documents.

Social Security numbers. The Service does not place Social Security numbers into generated forms and does not store them. Where a form requires a Social Security number, you add it by hand after the document is delivered to you.

3. How We Use Information

We use personal information to provide and operate the Service, including AI guided mediation; to generate the documents you request; to process your payment; to communicate with you about your matter and the Service; to understand how the Service is used so we can improve it; to measure the effectiveness of our advertising; to maintain the security, quality, and integrity of the Service; and to comply with our legal obligations.

4. AI Processing

The Service uses artificial intelligence to guide mediation and to generate documents. Session content is processed by our AI service provider solely to deliver the mediation experience and to produce your documents, and not for unrelated purposes. The Service also relies on other service providers, including Amazon Web Services for cloud hosting and storage, Stripe for payment processing, Google Analytics for usage analytics, and PostHog for product analytics. Each acts as a subprocessor under a contract that limits its use of information to providing services to SerenityNow.

5. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as follows:

  • With service providers who process information on our behalf, such as our cloud hosting provider and payment processor, under contracts that limit their use of the information to providing services to us.
  • With analytics and advertising measurement partners. We use Google Analytics and PostHog to understand usage of the Service, and the Reddit Pixel to measure the performance of our advertising on Reddit. These tools may collect device identifiers, cookie data, and usage information from your browser. They do not receive the contents of your mediation sessions, your matter information, or your documents. You can limit cookie based collection through your browser settings, opt out of Google Analytics through Google's opt out browser add on, and manage Reddit's ad measurement through your Reddit privacy settings.
  • For safety. When your communications reflect a personal safety crisis, we may surface safety resources to you, and where permitted or required by law we may act to protect the safety of any person.
  • For legal reasons, to comply with applicable law, legal process, or enforceable governmental requests, and to protect our rights and the rights and safety of others.
  • In connection with a business transaction, such as a merger or acquisition, subject to the commitments in this Policy.

6. Data Retention

From a completed matter, SerenityNow retains the final signed Shared Custody Plan, the final Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), and the information you keep in the SerenityNow Family Center. Apart from these, no other case data, session content, or intermediate drafts are retained. We keep the final documents for seven (7) years, after which they are deleted unless a longer period is required by law. Information in the Family Center is kept for as long as you use the Family Center.

7. Data Security

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information, including encryption of data in transit and at rest, access controls, and secure cloud infrastructure. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Your Choices and Rights

You may access or update your account information, and you may request deletion of your information, subject to the limited retention described above and to legal requirements. We extend the following privacy rights to all users, consistent with California law (the CCPA as amended by the CPRA): the right to know what personal information we collect and how we use it; the right to access a copy of your personal information; the right to request correction of inaccurate information; the right to request deletion of your information; the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information; and the right not to receive discriminatory treatment for exercising any of these rights.

SerenityNow does not sell personal information. Our use of the Reddit Pixel for advertising measurement is treated as sharing under California law, and you have the right to opt out of it. You may opt out by contacting us at Support@SerenityNow.ai, by adjusting your browser cookie settings, or through your Reddit privacy settings. We also recognize opt out preference signals, such as Global Privacy Control, sent by your browser; when we detect such a signal, we treat it as a request to opt out of sharing for that browser.

To make any request under this section, contact us at Support@SerenityNow.ai.

9. Children's Privacy

The Service is intended for adults who are at least 18 years of age and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children. Because the Service supports custody and coparenting matters, parents may provide information about their own children as part of reaching an agreement. That information is treated as part of the matter and is subject to this Policy and to the limited retention described above.

10. Crisis and Safety

The Service is built to keep supporting you even during difficult moments. If your communications reflect a personal safety crisis, the Service will surface safety resources and your mediation will not be halted. We may review session content for safety and for policy enforcement as described in our Terms of Service.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will provide notice through the Service or by other reasonable means, and we will update the "Last updated" date shown above.
